Top Running Back Prospect Puts Michigan in Top Group

Michigan Running Backs Coach Tony Alford Making Early Recruiting Impact

New Michigan running backs coach Tony Alford, known for his elite recruiting skills, has wasted no time showcasing his abilities in Ann Arbor. In just a few weeks, Alford has already hosted several highly sought-after running backs, including Bo Jackson from Cleveland (Ohio) Villa Angela St. Joseph. Jackson, a 6-1, 190-pound prospect, visited campus in late March and was photographed with Alford and Sherrone Moore in the new head coach’s office. As a result, Jackson has included the Wolverines in his top group of schools.

Jackson is still considering offers from 12 prominent programs, including Rutgers, Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia, West Virginia, Ole Miss, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Penn State. Among these, Ohio State poses a significant threat to land Jackson due to its proximity to his home state. Jackson has also visited Penn State, Georgia, and Kentucky, among others, as he evaluates his college options.
