Brisbane’s captain, Adam Reynolds, has received positive news after being cleared of a serious injury. However, the team also faces a setback as scans have revealed that winger Deine Mariner has sustained a fractured back, adding to the Broncos’ injury woes.
Reynolds, who left the field during halftime of their recent match against Melbourne, was emotional in the changeroom, sparking concerns among fans. Meanwhile, Mariner, injured in a collision with Storm winger Xavier Coates, continued playing but underwent scans along with Reynolds.
According to Broncos head of performance Dave Ballard, Reynolds’ injury diagnosis indicates a minor hamstring strain, although no specific timeline for his return has been provided. On the other hand, Mariner’s prognosis is less optimistic, with a potential absence of up to a month due to his fractured back.
