Caroline Wilson Bluntly Criticizes Essendon’s Recruiting Decisions, Citing “Wrong People” Involved for Past Two Decades

Following Essendon’s 69-point defeat by Port Adelaide, Caroline Wilson has not held back in her assessment of the club’s list management. Wilson pointed out that the Bombers have had the “wrong people” in their recruiting department for the past 20 years.

She highlighted the scrutiny on the club’s recent draft history, particularly the performance of several high draft picks. Wilson also supported Essendon’s recent decision to part ways with long-serving list manager Adrian Dodoro, suggesting it was a necessary move.

“None of those Essendon players can match what Port Adelaide have got,” she said on 3AW Football. “They do not have the cattle. They have had the wrong people in their recruiting and list management now for two decades.”
