Giroud responds to LAFC rumors: “Currently, I am a Milan player.”

Milan striker Olivier Giroud refrains from confirming his move to LAFC and MLS next season, stating, “I am currently a Milanista and very proud to play for this club.”

Milan had a comfortable victory, securing a 2-0 lead within 20 minutes with goals from Christian Pulisic and Giroud.

Reflecting on the match, Giroud commented, “I believe this is Milan’s best form of the season. We were determined to win today, scoring two early goals against a Lecce side that had kept two consecutive clean sheets.”

The victory saw Milan start Samuel Chukwueze, Pulisic, Rafael Leao, and Giroud together for the first time, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek was suspended.

Regarding his future, Giroud stated, “I don’t want to discuss my future. I have seen the reports. As of today, I am a Milanista, and I am immensely proud to represent this club. My focus is on finishing the season strongly.”

Giroud is set to leave Milan when his contract expires at the end of the season, with a move to LAFC in MLS as a free agent widely anticipated.
