Penn State Edge Rusher Chop Robinson Holds Pre-Draft Meeting with…

The Arizona Cardinals have been actively hosting various college prospects as they seek to bolster their roster during this offseason phase.

According to NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero, Penn State edge rusher Demeioun “Chop” Robinson recently visited the Cardinals as part of their pre-draft evaluations. Pelissero also noted other notable pre-draft visits across the league.

Robinson began his collegiate career as a true freshman at the University of Maryland, where he played as a linebacker for one season, recording 2.0 sacks and 19 tackles in eight games.

After transferring to Penn State, he transitioned to defensive end and made significant contributions over two seasons (2022-2023), accumulating 9.5 sacks, 41 tackles, three defended passes, and three forced fumbles. In 2023, he earned first-team All-Big Ten honors with 4.0 sacks and 41 tackles in 10 games.

With the No. 4 and No. 27 picks in the upcoming draft, the Cardinals are considering Robinson as a potential late first-round selection. If chosen by Arizona, the 6-foot-3 edge rusher would join a defensive end group featuring BJ Ojulari, Cam Thomas, L.J. Collier, Tyreke Smith, and offseason acquisition Bilal Nicols.

As of now, the Cardinals hold six draft picks in the first three rounds and a total of 11 selections. While there have been talks of potential trades to move down in the draft, no deals have been finalized yet.
