Roosters secure emerging talent, Lomax nearing massive contract with Eels, Storm extend key player

The Sydney Roosters have secured prop Terrell May on a two-year deal, ensuring his presence in their front row until at least the end of 2026.

Despite speculation about a possible move, especially to play alongside his brother Taylan, Terrell decided to stay at Bondi. Taylan’s commitment to Penrith helped pave the way for Terrell’s re-signing.

Recently, the Roosters’ pack seemed uncertain with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves planning to move to England, but the team has extended Lindsay Collins’ contract until 2028 and now secured May for two more years.

“I’m really happy to have my future sorted with the Roosters,” May said. “I love being part of the team here and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to represent the red, white and blue for another two years.”

May has had the best year of his career this season, averaging 126 metres per game.

The Roosters also have suspended forward Spencer Leniu signed until the end of 2025, after luring him from Penrith for this season.

Meanwhile, St George Illawarra star Zac Lomax has all but been confirmed as a Parramatta player with the outside back set to ink a $2.6m deal to move to Western Sydney.
