Daylen Austin’s position within the Oregon football program remains uncertain after his involvement in a fatal hit-and-run incident earlier this week.
Oregon coach Dan Lanning, addressing the public for the first time since Austin’s arrest on Monday night, refrained from providing further details regarding the status of the second-year defensive back within the team.
“At this moment, I don’t have any additional updates. I am aware of Daylen’s character, and I believe there are many aspects of this situation that are yet to unfold,” Lanning stated on Saturday afternoon following Oregon’s second spring scrimmage. “However, I prefer not to comment further on the matter at this time.”
