Marshall gives an update on Junior Tupou’s injury.

Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall has given an update on winger Junior Tupou’s injury, which forced him to leave the field just before half-time and prevented his return to the game.

Marshall stated after the match that Tupou believes he may have suffered a broken foot, although the severity of the injury is yet to be officially confirmed by the club.

“I think he’s got a broken foot, so that hurt a bit,” Marshall commented. “I think, I don’t know. That’s what he reckons.”

With Tupou likely to be unavailable for the next match, Marshall may consider several options to fill the gap in the team’s lineup. Potential replacements for Tupou on the wing include rookie Alex Lobb, center Solomona Faataape, rugby union convert Solomon Alaimalo, and utility player Asu Kepaoa, who has experience in the backline.
