An early opportunity arose when she secured a position through the university’s placement program with the Geelong Cats, marking the initial step in her adventurous career journey.

From distributing merchandise to donning the mascot suit, Erin’s role at the Cats evolved over three years, providing her with invaluable experience across events, sales, and sponsorships. However, her ambition led her to seek new horizons, prompting a move to Melbourne and a brief stint at a creative agency. Despite the allure of financial rewards, Erin’s departure from the role underscored the importance of workplace culture in her professional pursuits.

At 24, fueled by a desire for new experiences, Erin embarked on a journey to London, leveraging her network and determination to secure a position in the football industry. Her tenure with West Ham United’s corporate strategies and sales team exposed her to the intricacies of the sport and the challenges of working in a male-dominated environment.

Despite the unfamiliar terrain, Erin embraced the opportunity, forging lifelong friendships and immersing herself in the vibrant city life.

Upon returning to Australia, Erin seized the chance to join Collingwood Football Club, drawn by the club’s rich history and dynamic environment. Initially involved in the commercial partnerships for the Netball Program, Erin witnessed the burgeoning growth of women’s sport and played a pivotal role in advocating for inclusivity and collaboration within the club.
