Mizzou football secures commitments from three players within a day.
On Tuesday evening, Hermann edge rusher Daeden Hopkins committed to Missouri, marking the seventh commitment for Mizzou’s 2025 recruiting class in April. The momentum continued into May, as the Tigers secured two more players from the transfer portal who will be eligible for the 2024 season: Michigan linebacker Jeremiah Beasley and Georgia Tech defensive lineman Eddie Kelly.
Daeden Hopkins, a four-star prospect from Hermann, chose Missouri after an impressive junior season. In 2023, he recorded 67 tackles and 9 sacks for the Bearcats.
Beasley joins Mizzou after a short tenure at Ann Arbor. Initially recruited by Missouri and several other schools, the Belleville, Michigan native opted for early enrollment at Michigan, participating in spring camp with the Wolverines. Despite limited action, he managed to register one pass breakup during the Maize & Blue Spring Game before entering the transfer portal. Beasley, a four-star prospect and a top 30 linebacker nationally, made a name for himself during his senior year at Belleville High School, tallying 120 tackles and 5 sacks.
Kelly arrives at Mizzou after completing two seasons of college football, spending one year at South Florida and another at Georgia Tech. During his sophomore season with the Yellow Jackets in 2023, Kelly accumulated 5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He boasts a total of 26 games played between both programs over the two-year span.
