One month prior to his scheduled official visit to Manhattan, Will Kemna has made the decision to advance his commitment process by selecting K-State, thereby concluding his recruitment in favor of the Wildcats.
In a social media update posted on Friday, the 2025 offensive lineman communicated to his supporters that he has chosen to pursue his football career clad in purple as a member of the Big 12 conference.
Hailing from Helias Catholic in Jefferson, Missouri, Kemna, standing at 6-foot-5 and weighing 260 pounds, is recognized as one of the top 10 players in Missouri, and ranks within the top 50 offensive tackles nationwide according to the 247Sports Composite scale.
Despite receiving significant scholarship offers from institutions such as Cincinnati, Duke, and Nebraska, Kemna appeared to narrow his focus to Cincinnati, Nebraska, and K-State. While Cincinnati made an early strong impression, facilitating Kemna’s visit in January and securing the first official visit slot, K-State’s spring unofficial visit in late March evidently heightened Kemna’s interest in Chris Klieman and Conor Riley’s coaching staff.

Reflecting on his visit, Kemna expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It was great… I got to see the coaching staff again and I was stoked to get a ton of 1-on-1 time with both Coach Klieman and Coach Riley. I also got to meet the linemen and even tour campus which was awesome.” He further emphasized that K-State’s efforts significantly influenced his commitment decision.
Scheduled to visit both Cincinnati and K-State next month, Kemna’s remaining trip on the calendar is a return to K-State on June 7th. Additionally, K-State’s relative proximity to his home also played a role in his decision-making process.
Having been named a Third Team All-State selection in Class 5 by the Missouri Football Coaches Association during his junior year, Kemna played a pivotal role in guiding the Crusaders to the state quarterfinals. With a notable track record of success, including a combined 28-7 record over three years at Helias Catholic, Kemna brings a winning mentality to the Wildcats for the 2025 season.
Known for his length and mobility on the field, Kemna, who primarily held the right tackle position in high school, possesses the potential to transition to other positions within the team, potentially including the guard position, given his agility and Coach Riley’s preferences for versatile players.
With Kemna’s commitment, K-State’s recruiting class now stands at three, with the lineman joining future quarterback Dillon Duff as the second Missouri native in the class.
