“Missouri Strikes Gold Again: Lands Another Top QB from Georgia After Matt Zollers”

Missouri made a significant addition to its football program on Thursday by securing a commitment from Matt Zollers, a highly regarded quarterback prospect in the 2025 recruiting class from Royersford, Pennsylvania.

Zollers, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the nation’s No. 46 overall prospect, No. 5 quarterback, and the top recruit from Pennsylvania in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, which is a weighted average that considers rankings from all four major recruiting media companies.

However, On3 ranks Zollers even higher, placing him at No. 17 overall and No. 3 among quarterbacks in the 2025 On300 rankings. On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power praised Zollers’ playmaking abilities, describing him as a highly athletic quarterback with a strong arm who excels at making big plays under pressure.

Zollers’ commitment to Missouri represents a significant recruiting win for the program and continues the positive momentum established in the 2024 cycle when the Tigers secured commitments from three top-150 recruits. Power believes that Zollers has the potential to be a cornerstone player for Missouri, possibly becoming the team’s starting quarterback after Brady Cook. He also noted that Zollers’ commitment reinforces Missouri’s growing presence in the SEC.

Despite his already impressive status as one of the top recruits in the 2025 class, Zollers still has room for improvement. Power highlighted the importance of Zollers’ performance at summer camps and throughout his senior year in high school, emphasizing the need for continued growth and polish in his game. Overall, Power sees Zollers as a well-rounded prospect with no glaring weaknesses, but he will need to show ongoing improvement to excel in a competitive 2025 quarterback class.
