“Three Tigers Fined: Match Review Officer Concludes Round Assessment”

The Match Review Officer has concluded their assessment of Sunday’s Round 8 clash against Fremantle, resulting in financial penalties for three Tigers: Nathan Broad, Dylan Grimes, and Ben Miller.

Charges:

Nathan Broad of Richmond has been cited for participating in a melee/wrestle during the fourth quarter of the Round 8 game between Richmond and Fremantle at the MCG on Sunday, May 5, 2024. He has the option to accept a $1250 fine with an early plea. The incident was initially deemed worthy of a $1875 fine as a first offense.

 

Dylan Grimes, also of Richmond, faces a similar charge for his involvement in the same melee/wrestle during the fourth quarter of the aforementioned match. He too has the choice to accept a $1250 fine with an early plea, which was originally rated at $1875 for a first-time offense.

Ben Miller of Richmond has been charged with kneeing Fremantle’s Jye Amiss during the fourth quarter of the same game. The incident was assessed as careless conduct, low impact, and high contact. Miller has the option to accept a $2500 fine with an early plea, which was initially categorized as a $3750 fine for a first-time offense.
