Former NFL and Michigan Wolverines linebacker Obi Ezeh has passed away at the age of 36, as confirmed by his family.

Ezeh was renowned for his college football career, representing the Wolverines from 2007 to 2011. He was known for his strong tackling abilities, recording an impressive 68 tackles in 2007 alone.

In April 2011, Ezeh showcased his athleticism at the regional combine with a 40-yard dash time of 4.81 seconds, an 88cm vertical jump, and a 20-yard shuttle run time of 4.81 seconds. Throughout his college football tenure, he played 49 games for the Wolverines, accumulating 293 tackles and three sacks.

Despite going undrafted in the 2011 NFL draft, Ezeh signed with the Washington Redskins (now the Washington Commanders) as an undrafted free agent. Unfortunately, he was waived on August 19 of the same year. Details surrounding Ezeh’s passing are currently unclear, with his death confirmed on Sunday, May 5.
