Vancouver FC Bolsters Defense with Loan Signing of Allan Enyou

The off-season for Vancouver FC was marked by significant roster changes and updates, with the club welcoming 14 new players from January to April. Among these additions was the acquisition of defender Allan Enyou, who joins the team on a one-year loan from C.D. Leganés B.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the opportunity, Enyou stated, “I am very excited to represent Vancouver FC and play in Canada this year.” Despite being just 20 years old, Enyou brings a wealth of international experience, having played in countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Enyou began his professional career with Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) in Uganda’s Premier League in July 2022. He later embarked on a loan spell with Elite Falcons FC in the United Arab Emirates Division Two before making a permanent move to the club. Subsequently, he joined C.D. Leganés B in Spain’s Segunda División, where he made his professional debut and later went on loan to Latvia’s SK Super Nova.

Vancouver’s Head Coach Afshin Ghotbi emphasized Enyou’s potential, stating, “Highly recruited and possessing world-class potential, Allan will add to the already improved defense of VFC.” Ghotbi praised Enyou’s attributes, including pace, power, and football intelligence, highlighting his versatility and depth in the backline.

Enyou’s achievements extend to the international stage, with call-ups to provisional 50-man rosters for Uganda’s U-20 and senior teams in January and May of 2023, respectively.

Reflecting on his journey, Enyou expressed gratitude for the opportunities and looks forward to gaining first-team experience with Vancouver FC in the upcoming season.
