The Canterbury Bulldogs have faced a significant setback in their front-line players, as one of their promising young forwards will be sidelined due to injury.
A budding front-rower, Jack Todd, has suffered a fractured forearm. The injury occurred prior to the club’s match against the Penrith Panthers on Friday night, where there were speculations that he might have been selected as a late replacement.
Despite nearing his NRL debut, it’s been revealed that he will be out for at least two months and will join the injured list alongside fellow forward Chris Patolo.
Todd has participated in eight NSW Cup games this season, primarily as a prop or lock, and has been one of the standout performers in reserve grade.
Throughout these appearances, he has recorded 22 tackle busts, completed 218 tackles (with a tackle efficiency of 95.2 percent), and amassed a total of 1106 running meters with the ball in hand, averaging 138 per game.

Phil Gould later confirmed on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Todd underwent surgery on Thursday afternoon and will not resume training for a couple of weeks. This will mark the beginning of his journey back to full-contact training.
