Ohio State is on the verge of landing Isaiah West from SEC program
Ohio State has several running back targets for the class of 2025 and may soon secure a commitment from one.
Isaiah West, a three-star recruit from Pennsylvania, visited the Buckeyes this past weekend. After his visit, West decommitted from his verbal commitment to play at Kentucky in the SEC.
The Buckeyes are also pursuing four-star running backs Jordon Davison and Bo Jackson. Ohio State plans to take at least two backs this recruiting cycle, and West could be the first.
First I'd like to thank God for blessing me with the ability to play this game and the opportunity to continue to pursue my dreams. I'd also like to thank the entire Kentucky staff for their belief and investment in me. With that being said, I am re-opening my recruitment pic.twitter.com/TRgtbL6RBx

West plays at St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, the same high school attended by former Buckeyes Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kyle McCord. The 247 Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 503 player, a ranking likely to improve following a commitment.
A strong running back at 5-foot-11 and 208 pounds, West excels at grinding out tough yards and can play all three downs. Kentucky and Ohio State have had many recruiting battles over Ohio-based prospects, but this one involves an out-of-state player.
After a successful visit, it may not be long before the Buckeyes secure their first running back commit for the class of 2025.
