Xavier Coates is set to make his return to the Melbourne Storm wing as the team prepares to face the Parramatta Eels on Sunday night for Magic Round.
Having been sidelined due to a hamstring injury sustained in Round 8, Coates’ fitness and performance will be assessed throughout the week before he is officially included in the lineup at Suncorp Stadium.
Following a commendable performance on the wing in Round 10, Grant Anderson will retain his place in the squad as part of the extended reserves.
In the absence of Ryan Papenhuyzen and Jahrome Hughes, Sua Fa’alogo and Tyran Wishart will continue to fill in at fullback and halfback respectively.
Young talent Jack Howarth will also maintain his presence in the Storm lineup, joining Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Tui Kamikamica, and Alec MacDonald on the interchange bench.
