This week, President Biden presented the Army Black Knights football team with the prestigious Commander-In-Chief’s Trophy, awarded annually to the service academy football program that triumphs in the three-team series involving Army, Navy, and Air Force.
In conjunction with the trophy ceremony, West Point showcased the design for the rings that Army players will receive to commemorate their victory.

The rings will be adorned with various intricate details, paying tribute to the achievements of Army’s senior class and other classes that have secured the CIC trophy for West Point. These details include engravings marking the ten seasons in which Army claimed the CIC trophy outright, displayed along the outer sides of the ring. Additionally, six stars on one side represent the senior class’ victories over Navy and Air Force in recent years.
Notably, Army’s 2023 triumph marked the first time the Black Knights secured the trophy outright since 2020.
Looking ahead, Army football is set to kick off the 2024 season on August 30 with a home game against FCS opponent Lehigh. Key matchups include facing Air Force on November 2 and Navy on December 14.
