Delaney, a 29-year-old undrafted free agent from The Citadel, brings five seasons of NFL experience with him, having previously played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Washington Commanders, and most recently, the Buccaneers. While his early years in Jacksonville and Washington saw limited game time and minimal statistical impact, Delaney showcased his defensive prowess during his tenure with Tampa Bay. Over the past three seasons, he tallied 71 tackles, seven pass deflections, and three interceptions across 49 appearances.
The addition of Delaney bolsters the Bills’ safety depth, with the seasoned player expected to vie for a roster spot alongside Damar Hamlin. In the safety hierarchy, Taylor Rapp, Mike Edwards, and rookie second-rounder Cole Bishop are anticipated to lead in terms of playing time and performance.
