West Tigers City-Country Representatives: Sending Tiger-Sized Luck Your Way!

Best wishes to all Wests Tigers players competing at Leichhardt Oval this weekend in the NSW City vs. NSW Country carnival.

Seven of the club’s women’s pathways players will feature for the NSW City and NSW Country teams, along with an additional 14 Wests Tigers pathways players representing in the junior men’s City & Country teams.

Furthermore, Wests Tigers Football Program Coordinator (Wests/Macarthur), Bryce Crane, will participate for City in the physical disability rugby league match on Sunday morning.

The City U16s will include several players from Wests Magpies Harold Matthews team, such as hooker Ashton Large, five-eighth Jhevon Lele, winger Thomas Goodfield, and forward Siotame Havea Jr. Additionally, talented center Heamasi Makasini from the Harold Matthews team will play for the City U18s.

Former Magpies premiership-winning player Luke Laulilii, who has also featured in SG Ball and NSW Cup this season, will join the City U18s team.

The Macarthur Wests Tigers Andrew Johns Cup team has contributed three players to the Country U16s squad: Jake Gaffney, Andrew Sio, and Kye Penfold. Meanwhile, the Macarthur Wests Tigers are well represented in the Country U18s squad.

In the NSW City Under 17s team, five players from the Wests Tigers Lisa Fiaola Cup will be in action, including captain Lucyannah Luamanu-Leiataua.

Furthermore, Tarsha Gale Cup vice-captain Claudia Brown will represent NSW City Under 19s, facing her Wests Tigers teammate Cheyenne Baker, who has been selected for the NSW Country team.

Wests Tigers extend their congratulations to all pathways players selected to represent City and Country this month, showcasing the club’s commitment to development.

Additionally, some of these players are currently participating in the Wests Tigers CUBS Tour to Tamworth, concluding with a game against Newcastle U18s Development at Scully Park on Saturday.

– 2:20pm – Men’s Open Age NSW Country v NSW City

Sunday 19 May at Leichhardt Oval

– 10:00am – Physical Disability Rugby League
– 11:15am – Under 17s Girls NSW Country v NSW City
– 12:50pm – Under 19s Women NSW Country v NSW City
– 2:25pm – Women’s Police NSW Country v NSW City
