Michigan has been exceptionally successful in securing transfer portal targets this week. On Thursday, they secured Albany cornerback Aamir Hill, followed by Tennessee safety Wesley Walker committing to Michigan on Friday morning. Later that Friday afternoon, they made another defensive addition through the transfer portal.
Former Michigan State safety Jaden Mangham announced his commitment to Michigan.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Mangham boasted 53 tackles and four interceptions last season for the Spartans. Now, he joins a Michigan team that decisively defeated his former team 49-0 last season. Mangham will enter his junior campaign in 2024.
With Mangham and Walker added to the safety position, Michigan’s depth chart significantly improves. Rod Moore suffered an ACL tear last month, and Keon Sabb transferred to Alabama in February. Other safeties currently on Michigan’s roster include Makari Paige, Quinten Johnson, Zeke Berry, Brandyn Hillman, and Jacob Oden.
