García Sidelined with Right Forearm Injury.

**May 19: Adolis García scratched from Sunday lineup**

Manager Bruce Bochy announced that Adolis García was removed from Sunday’s lineup against the Angels due to a right forearm issue sustained in a collision with Marcus Semien in shallow right field the previous night. García is scheduled for an MRI, but the team hopes he will recover during Monday’s off-day before the series in Philadelphia.

**May 17: LF Evan Carter (lower back stiffness) to return this weekend**

Evan Carter is set to rejoin the lineup this weekend after an MRI revealed only inflammation in his sacroiliac joints. Carter, who was scratched before Saturday’s game against the Rockies, pinch-hit on Friday, flying out in the ninth inning.

**May 15: RHP Shaun Anderson called up from Triple-A Round Rock; RHP Jack Leiter optioned**

The Rangers promoted Shaun Anderson from Triple-A Round Rock, sending Jack Leiter back after his challenging home debut. Leiter’s ERA rose to 16.39 after three starts. Anderson, who has a career 5.84 ERA, will provide bullpen depth as the team awaits the return of injured starters Dane Dunning and Nathan Eovaldi.

 

**LHP Cody Bradford (lower back strain/stress fracture on rib)**
Expected return: Late May
Bradford was initially placed on the injured list due to a lower back strain, which later revealed a small stress fracture on his right 12th rib. Despite not experiencing pain, his recovery has been slow, and he has been temporarily shut down from throwing.

**RHP Dane Dunning (right rotator cuff strain)**
Expected return: Likely on the upcoming road trip
Dunning, on the IL since May 8, threw a bullpen session at Coors Field and is expected to return to the starting rotation after two more bullpen sessions.

**OF Wyatt Langford (right hamstring strain)**
Expected return: Late May or early June
Langford, diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain on May 4, is optimistic about his recovery and has resumed sprinting and hitting without limitations.

**RHP Josh Sborz (right rotator cuff strain)**
Expected return: TBD
Sborz re-injured his rotator cuff during a May 8 game. The timeline for his return remains uncertain.

**RHP Nathan Eovaldi (right groin strain)**
Expected return: Late May
Eovaldi, who exited a game on May 2 with groin tightness, is expected to return by the end of May after seeing a specialist.

**RHP Austin Pruitt (right knee medial meniscus injury)**

Pruitt, with a 12.46 ERA, was placed on the IL due to a knee injury.

Scherzer was moved to the 60-day IL with nerve pain in his right triceps and forearm.

Burke broke his hand after punching a wall in frustration following an outing.
