Canterbury Bulldogs Forward Ryan Sutton Faces Two-Month Setback with New Hip Injury

Canterbury Bulldogs forward Ryan Sutton has reportedly faced another injury setback and is expected to be sidelined for at least two more months.

Sutton, who joined the Bulldogs from the Canberra Raiders last season with a reported salary of $500,000 per year, has only managed to play 13 first-grade games for the club due to injuries and inconsistent performances.

Currently recovering from a major knee injury, News Corp has reported that Sutton will now miss an additional two months after sustaining a hip injury during training.

This development is a significant setback for both the Bulldogs and Sutton’s career. Last year, the England 9s international was given permission to leave the club and seek opportunities elsewhere in the NRL or overseas, along with Raymond Faitala-Mariner, who has since left the club.

Although Sutton is under contract for another 12 months, it is understood that he had a meeting with club officials last year to discuss his future, which included the possibility of returning to the Super League in England.
