West Ham United are reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign Flamengo defender Fabricio Bruno, according to Brazilian media.
Globo Esporte states that the sale to the Hammers is ‘on track’ and likely to be finalized in the coming weeks.
The report mentions that West Ham is expected to pay €15m for the signing, though details are limited at this stage.
Fabricio Bruno, at 28 years old, is considered somewhat older for a player making the move from South America to a Premier League club.
Despite this, he is at his peak and recently made his debut for Brazil, starting in friendlies against England and Spain in March.
Although he was not included in the Copa America squad, his performance at Wembley may have convinced West Ham of his readiness for the Premier League.
Fabricio Bruno has demonstrated solid defensive skills, with good speed enabling him to tackle in advanced areas and on the wings.
