“Required adjustments necessary”: Suspended Eagle to participate in wellness program following “serious” incident

West Coast Eagles forward Tyler Brockman, who has been suspended, will engage in a wellbeing and educational program following a “serious” traffic incident earlier this month. Allegedly involved in a crash in Geraldton, Brockman reportedly fled the scene on foot before returning to remove the vehicle. Charges against him include careless driving and failing to report property damage.

Brockman’s suspension from AFL selection will continue until after West Coast’s Round 14 bye, allowing him to play at the WAFL level starting this weekend. The Eagles released a statement outlining ongoing support and education for Brockman as he aims to rectify his actions and continue his career. West Coast’s football boss emphasized the seriousness of the charges and the club’s commitment to assisting Brockman in addressing off-field issues to optimize his on-field potential.

In his statement, Brockman apologized for his behavior and expressed willingness to make necessary changes to meet AFL standards. The Subiaco native returned to Western Australia from Hawthorn during the off-season and is yet to score a goal for West Coast. The WAFL Eagles are set to play against Claremont this Saturday afternoon.
