Cody Walker will miss Indigenous Round due to a minor calf strain.

Walker played in the match last week but was later ruled out before the captain’s run on Friday. Despite the Rabbitohs having a bye next week, the club opted not to risk playing him this week to avoid exacerbating his injury and prolonging his time on the sidelines.

He is expected to recover in time for the round 14 game against the Titans, and there’s a possibility he could participate in the first State of Origin game for New South Wales if selected in the squad on Sunday night.

Latrell Mitchell will assume the captaincy for the Rabbitohs during the Indigenous Round match at 7:35 pm on Saturday night at Accor Stadium. This marks his third time leading the club, showcasing the honor he holds within the team.
