On Wednesday, the Mizzou football team secured a commitment from Khalil Jacobs, one of the highest-rated defensive players still available in the transfer portal. Jacobs, who shone at South Alabama for two years, will enter his junior season in 2024 with the Tigers. Opting for Mizzou over notable contenders like Alabama, Auburn, and Ole Miss, Jacobs brings significant talent to the team.
During his tenure at South Alabama, Jacobs participated in 24 games across the 2022 and 2023 seasons. As a sophomore last year, he started three out of 13 games, showcasing his potential on the field. Jacobs impressed with impressive statistics, tallying 8.5 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 interception.
