“Auburn Tiger Update: Will Redmond Joins Coaching Staff, Summer Enrollees Boost Auburn Football”

One of the notable staffing changes made by head coach Hugh Freeze during the offseason was the appointment of Will Redmond as the General Manager of Player Personnel. Redmond previously served as the Director of Player Personnel at LSU, where he played a pivotal role in assisting Brian Kelly in enhancing the team’s roster following his arrival in Baton Rouge.

Redmond, who grew up following the Tigers, was already familiar with the concept of the Auburn Family, but truly experienced it firsthand upon arriving at Auburn University. As the General Manager, Redmond found the coaching staff assembled by Freeze to be the most rewarding aspect of his job.

“I’ve been truly impressed by the relationships, connections, and the people here,” Redmond expressed, as reported by Auburn Undercover. “This staff is devoid of egos. Everyone is committed to hard work. We’re dedicated and have a great time doing it. We share laughs during staff meetings. Coach Freeze is an exceptional leader to work alongside. Personally and professionally, I’m enjoying my time here at Auburn more than ever before.”

Next week, the Auburn football team will commence its summer workouts, overseen by strength coach Dominic Studzinski. While a significant portion of the Tigers’ 2024 recruiting class arrived earlier this year to partake in spring practice, additional members will join as summer enrollees and spring transfers integrate into the team.

Four new high school prospects are set to join the Plains for summer workouts: wide receivers Perry Thompson and Malcolm Simmons, offensive lineman DeAndre Carter, and cornerback Amon Lane-Ganus.

Thompson and Simmons add depth to the team’s talented receiving corps, while Carter will bolster the offensive line as a valuable addition to the depth chart. Despite some departures from the Tigers’ secondary, Lane-Ganus is expected to utilize his first season to acclimate and learn from his teammates.
