St. Louis CITY SC Secures International Midfield Sensation in Major Signing Coup!

St. Louis CITY SC has fortified their attacking prowess by securing the signature of German midfielder Cedric Teuchert on a two-year contract, valid until June 2026, with the option for the club to extend it for the remainder of 2026. Teuchert, designated as a Target Allocation Money player, will fill an international roster spot and will be eligible for selection starting from July 18, coinciding with the commencement of MLS’ Summer Transfer Window.

Sporting Director Lutz Pfannenstiel expressed his confidence in Teuchert, stating, “Cedric is a proven goal scorer who will significantly enhance our squad. His exceptional skill on the ball, particularly in dead-ball situations and in the box, will greatly benefit the team.”

At 27 years old, Teuchert arrives at St. Louis CITY SC following a successful stint at Hannover 96 in the 2. Bundesliga, where he registered consecutive seasons of double-digit goal involvements. His impressive track record includes two goals and two assists in 15 appearances upon joining Hannover in January 2022, followed by career-best figures of 14 goals and 4 assists in 30 matches during the 2022-23 campaign, and 12 goals and 3 assists in 28 outings in the 2023-24 season.

Before his time at Hannover 96, Teuchert competed for two Bundesliga clubs, amassing 43 Bundesliga appearances along with participation in two Champions League and four European Conference League matches.

Teuchert reunites with former teammate Eduard Löwen in St. Louis, having played together at 1. FC Nuremberg, as well as representing their country together at the youth national team level, including the Under-21 and Olympic squads.

Having recently visited St. Louis to finalize his contract and meet his future coaches and teammates, Cedric Teuchert’s signing marks a significant transaction for St. Louis CITY, further strengthening their squad for upcoming challenges.
