Michigan , Alabama and Georgia at war for Four-Star Wide Receiver.

As summer approaches, the Michigan football team aims to heat up its recruiting efforts. Currently, the Wolverines have just five commits in their 2025 class, but there is ample time for things to progress. Among their many uncommitted targets is four-star wide receiver Derek Meadows, who recently announced his top five schools, including Michigan.

“‘I will pick one of these five schools when I commit,’” Elite 4-star WR Derek Meadows tells @ChadSimmons_ he is getting down to crunch time in his recruitment,” tweeted On3 Recruits.

Securing Meadows would be a significant boost for Michigan’s recruiting momentum. Adding a highly-ranked four-star prospect would set a strong precedent for the Wolverines.

Derek Meadows is ranked as the #62 player in the 2025 class by 247 Sports, making him the #9 wide receiver and the top player in Nevada. He currently attends Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas.

Michigan faces stiff competition from Alabama, LSU, Notre Dame, and Georgia for Meadows’ commitment. Currently, Notre Dame seems to be leading, with a crystal ball prediction in their favor. However, only Meadows knows his final decision.

For Michigan, landing Meadows would be a significant win, but missing out wouldn’t be catastrophic. The Wolverines have several other high-profile targets who have listed Michigan as a finalist, indicating that commitments should be forthcoming soon.
