Roosters on the Prowl for Another Knight, Dolphin’s Dive into Wayne’s Southern Horizon, Raiders’ Ace Primed for Shocking Transition”

Sydney Roosters Set Sights on Young Knights Star, Dolphins Eye Southbound Wayne, Raiders Standout Ready for Unexpected Move

The Sydney Roosters have their sights set on David Armstrong, the promising young fullback from the Knights, as a potential successor to James Tedesco.

With Tedesco contracted until next year and possibly nearing the twilight of his career, the Roosters are looking for a long-term replacement. Armstrong has impressed since stepping up for Newcastle this season in the absence of Kalyn Ponga due to injury.

Armstrong’s contract with the Knights expires this season, and according to a NewsCorp report, the 23-year-old Moree native is attracting attention after a strong start to his NRL career.

Meanwhile, South Sydney Rabbitohs are reportedly interested in adding Euan Aitken to their squad next season, coinciding with Wayne Bennett’s return to the club.

While Bennett has stated he won’t poach players from the Dolphins, Aitken might find himself squeezed out due to the club’s investments in other players. With Queensland young gun Kulikefu Finefeuiaki joining Souths, the competition for spots is fierce.

Elsewhere, Raiders player Hudson Young is prepared to step into an unfamiliar role if called upon by the New South Wales Blues in State of Origin.

Young, who typically plays in the back row, is willing to defend in the centres if required, showcasing the versatility prized in Origin football. Despite the challenges of defending out of position, Young and his teammates are confident in their ability to adapt and perform at the highest level.

As Origin approaches, the anticipation builds for what promises to be another thrilling clash between New South Wales and Queensland.
