Gators Reveal Aggressive Development Plan for 4-Star QB During Official Visit

The Florida Gators have been actively courting Warner Robins (Fla.) Houston County’s four-star quarterback Antwann Hill Jr. since extending an offer in July 2022. Hill has maintained close contact with the coaching staff and has visited Gainesville multiple times for unofficial visits. This weekend, however, marked a significant milestone as Hill embarked on his official visit to the University of Florida’s campus, the first of two planned official visits for the summer.

During this visit, Hill had the opportunity to immerse himself in the Gators’ football program, spending quality time with the coaching staff and current players. “It was fun,” Hill remarked about his trip. “Just hanging out with the coaches, Coach [Ryan] O’Hara, Coach [Billy] Napier, and especially DJ Lagway. Just hanging around him, asking him questions. Stuff like that. It was fun.”

The official visit allowed Hill to gain deeper insights into the Gators’ development plan tailored specifically for him. The interactions with quarterbacks coach Ryan O’Hara and head coach Billy Napier provided Hill with a comprehensive understanding of the coaching philosophies and the support structure he would have at Florida. Additionally, spending time with DJ Lagway, a fellow quarterback, gave Hill a peer perspective on the program, further solidifying his impressions.

Hill’s visit is part of Florida’s strategic effort to build a strong relationship with the highly-touted prospect, showcasing the program’s commitment to his development both on and off the field. The Gators’ coaching staff emphasized their vision for Hill’s future, highlighting the tailored training and mentorship he would receive, aimed at maximizing his potential and preparing him for the next level.

This weekend’s visit was a crucial step in the Gators’ recruitment process, demonstrating their dedication to securing Hill’s commitment. As Hill continues his evaluation with another official visit planned, the Florida Gators remain focused on making a compelling case for why Gainesville should be his next home.
