Renewal of Expertise: Kimmorley Extends Coaching Stint with [Team Name]

The Wests Tigers have officially announced that Brett Kimmorley will extend his tenure as NRLW head coach at the club.

Kimmorley, who steered the team through their inaugural NRLW season in 2023, will continue his role for both the 2024 and 2025 seasons, as confirmed by the Tigers.

Despite a challenging debut season, during which the Tigers secured victory in only two out of nine matches, Kimmorley’s leadership has been recognized for laying the groundwork for the women’s program’s growth.

Tigers’ CEO Shane Richardson expressed satisfaction with Kimmorley’s continued commitment, acknowledging his instrumental role in elevating the women’s program to prominence within the league.

“Brett has done a remarkable job in cultivating our women’s program into one of the league’s finest,” Richardson remarked in an official club statement. “We eagerly anticipate further advancements under his guidance.”

Kimmorley, whose illustrious playing career spanned various clubs and representative honors, transitioned into coaching with the Tigers in 2022. Since then, he has been integral to the club’s coaching setup, spearheading the NRLW side’s progression.

Reflecting on the team’s achievements in their debut season, Kimmorley expressed optimism about building upon their initial success.

“We accomplished a lot together in our inaugural season, and I’m excited about the prospects for the future,” he remarked. “With many players progressing through Wests Tigers pathways and others on the cusp, there’s a sense of anticipation as we embark on the upcoming season.”

With an eye on improvement, particularly after 15 players made their NRLW debuts in 2023, the Tigers are gearing up for preseason training commencing on June 3rd, poised to enhance their performance in their sophomore NRLW campaign.
