Four-star SEC Commit to Defying Expectations: Sets sights on Michigan for two visits.

The official visit season is in full gear, with prospects traveling to Ann Arbor this weekend to meet with Sherrone Moore and the Michigan Wolverines.

Among them, Vanderbilt committed. LaMar Morgan continues to impress on the recruiting trail, extending an offer to Carson Lawrence, a 2025 four-star safety. Lawrence has been committed to Vanderbilt for about a year, but his interest in Michigan remains strong, with the winning culture attractive. Lawrence hopes to visit Ann Arbor unofficially and officially this summer, expressing excitement about the opportunity.

Meanwhile, 2025 four-star defensive back Kainoa Winston, a top recruit for the Wolverines, expressed optimism on his official visit. Notably, his family’s acceptance, particularly his mother’s, is influential in his decision-making. Winston plans to make a decision later this month after conducting official visits to Penn State, Oregon, and North Carolina.

Furthermore, highly sought-after offensive lineman Douglas Utu paid a memorable official visit and praised the coaching staff, particularly new head coach Moore and offensive line coach Grant Newsome. Utu, who has previously visited Washington, intends to visit Alabama, Tennessee, Nebraska, and Oregon before making a decision. Michigan’s great heritage of solid offensive line performance has piqued his interest, making them a serious competitor in his recruitment.
