Alabama has shown strong interest in Russell since offering him in April. Notably, Russell shares a trainer with current Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. Both have worked with Brad Standfield, who believes Russell has the potential to surpass Milroe one day.
“When you see him and his skill set, you realize this kid has a chance to be exceptional,” Standfield said. “He quickly grasps NFL-level drills and executes them impressively. There’s nothing he can’t do.”
Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 180 pounds, Russell is a dual-threat quarterback known for his deep ball accuracy and ability to make plays with his legs. He excels at keeping his eyes downfield under pressure, making dynamic throws on the run.
