Auburn Snags Commitment from Elite 4-Star Offensive Tackle
When you know, you know. And Broderick Shull knew after his official visit last weekend that Auburn was the place for him.
The 4-star offensive tackle from Bixby, Oklahoma, announced on social media Friday afternoon that he is committing to Auburn. Shull chose the Tigers over Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech. Although he had already visited Nebraska, he decided to finalize his decision before visiting Texas A&M and Texas Tech.
Standing at 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds, Shull is ranked as the No. 192 player, No. 20 offensive tackle, and No. 6 player from Oklahoma in the 247Sports Composite rankings. 247Sports also ranks him as the No. 30 offensive tackle and No. 9 player from Oklahoma. For Auburn and offensive line coach Jake Thornton, Shull was a top priority.
“This was definitely the experience I needed to make my decision much easier,” Shull said after his official visit last weekend. “Getting a feel for the campus vibe was great, and seeing everyone again was a good experience. The most important part was interacting with the players to see what they’re like off campus and if it’s a fit for me. These guys are awesome and fit me well—they’re responsible, mature guys.”
Auburn now has five offensive line commitments in the 2025 cycle, with Shull joining Top247 offensive tackles Tavaris Dice and Carde Smith, 3-star offensive tackle Spencer Dowland, and 3-star interior offensive lineman Tai Buster.
Shull’s commitment is the second in the last two days after Auburn landed a commitment from 4-star cornerback Donovan Starr on Thursday following his official visit. Auburn’s recruiting class now has 13 commitments, ranking No. 9 in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings.
