Oklahoma State Bolsters 2025 Recruiting Class with Commitment from Standout Tight End Isaiah Butler-Tanner

Oklahoma State’s official visit season is off to an explosive start this summer.

Earlier on Saturday, the Cowboys secured their first weekend commitment from defensive lineman Jordan Covington.

Later that night, tight end Isaiah Butler-Tanner also announced his commitment, effectively ending his recruitment process.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound prospect from Killeen, Texas, had offers from a range of schools including Baylor, Boston College, Houston, Louisiana, North Texas, Texas State, Texas Tech, Tulsa, UTEP, and UTSA, with interest also coming from Alabama and Texas this spring.

In his junior year in 2023, Butler-Tanner recorded 16 catches for 157 yards, alongside 16 carries for 50 yards and two touchdowns. His standout blocking and pass protection skills caught the attention of offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn and tight ends coach Jason McEndoo.

Butler-Tanner is now the second tight end commitment for Oklahoma State’s 2025 recruiting class, joining Utah’s Jordan Vyborny. With his addition, the Cowboys’ recruiting class now ranks No. 31 nationally and No. 5 in the Big 12.
