Devastating News: Melbourne Star Faces Potential Season-Ending Injury on King’s Birthday
Melbourne superstar Christian Petracca sustained four broken ribs, a lacerated spleen, and a small lung puncture during the defeat against Collingwood.
Despite being in immense pain, Petracca returned to the field, raising many questions within the footy community.
“He could miss the rest of the season; a lacerated spleen requires a minimum of six weeks to heal,” said Nine Chief Football Reporter Tom Morris on 3AW Drive.
Former Melbourne club doctor Peter Brukner commented, “I think the medical team looking after him did a pretty good job.”
