JuJu Lewis Shocks Predictions: USC Star Eyes Surprising Destination Beyond Colorado Football

Julian “JuJu” Lewis is poised to switch his commitment from USC to Auburn, rather than Deion Sanders’ Colorado football program, as anticipated.

During an appearance on The Next Round Live, Locked on Auburn and Auburn Daily’s Zac Blackerby predicted that Lincoln Riley might lose Lewis, a prized recruit for 2025, to Hugh Freeze’s Auburn.

“Several players committed to Auburn are using this weekend as their official visit to spend more time with JuJu Lewis,” Blackerby stated. “It’s an all-out push, an all-out effort. When everything is said and done, I believe JuJu Lewis will become Auburn’s quarterback.”

Initially seen as a potential asset for Coach Prime’s tenure at Colorado beyond 2024, Lewis now appears set to head elsewhere, leaving Sanders to possibly pursue Jaden O’Neal as an alternative quarterback recruit.

With Lewis seemingly out of the picture, Sanders’ plans for the quarterback position at Colorado remain uncertain. While he has expressed confidence in Ryan Staub’s potential as a starter, other options like Walter Taylor III and Destin Wade could also be considered. Additionally, the Buffs may explore transfer portal options, given that a significant portion of their roster is expected to come from there.

The decision now hinges on Sanders’ strategy for the upcoming season post his sons’ departure. While the NIL budget offers significant resources for recruiting, the absence of Lewis raises questions about the program’s future direction under Coach Prime’s leadership.
