Unlocking the All-Star Ballot: Your Guide to MLB All-Star Voting, Including Reds’ Players Eligible & How to Cast Your Votes!
Get ready to rally for your favorite players heading to the 2024 MLB All-Star Game! Each year, fan votes play a pivotal role in determining the top talent representing the National and American Leagues in the Midsummer Classic.
In the previous season, the Cincinnati Reds saw only one player, Alexis Diaz, make it to the All-Star Game roster. However, this year, there’s potential for more Cincinnati players to secure spots on the NL All-Star lineup.
Although the Reds kicked off the season with vigor, a rough stretch in May slowed their momentum. Yet, recent weeks have seen the team revitalize, with a surge in offensive performance propelling several standout players back into the limelight. So, how can you contribute to sending your favorite Reds players to this year’s All-Star Game?
### 2024 MLB All-Star Voting Schedule:
**When can Reds fans vote for their favorite players?**
The MLB All-Star Game selection process unfolds in two phases. Phase 1, which began on June 5th and continues through June 27th, allows fans to vote for numerous qualified players across MLB, including Spencer Steer, Elly De La Cruz, Jonathan India, and Tyler Stephenson.
### MLB All-Star Voting Phases:
**Phase 1:**
– **Voting Period:** June 5 – June 27
– **Results Revealed:** June 27, 6 p.m. ET
**Phase 2:**
– **Voting Period:** June 30 – July 3
– **Results Revealed:** July 3, 7 p.m. ET
During Phase 1, fans can vote up to five times daily. Once Phase 1 concludes, MLB will narrow down the list to the top two vote-getters for each position. Phase 2, running from June 30th to July 3rd, includes these top vote-getters, with fans limited to one vote per day. The All-Star starters will then be announced on July 3rd at 7 p.m. ET.
### Voting Rules for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game:
Your vote will help determine the eight position players and the designated hitter for both the NL and AL teams. You can vote for one player at each infield position, one designated hitter, and three outfielders.
If your preferred player isn’t listed, you have the option for a write-in vote. So, players like Stuart Fairchild, though not officially listed, can still earn your support on the ballot.
### How to Vote for the 2024 MLB All-Star Game:
Unlike traditional methods involving stadium ballots, MLB offers online voting options to select the (Reds) players most deserving of a spot in the All-Star Game.
So, if you want to see De La Cruz, Jake Fraley, and Jeimer Candelario representing the Reds in Arlington for this year’s Midsummer Classic, be sure to cast your votes. The top vote-getter in each league after Phase 1 secures an automatic All-Star team spot. Pitchers, however, follow a different nomination process, so while Nick Lodolo may merit a spot on the NL roster, there’s a separate method for selecting hurlers for the All-Star Game.
