The Western Bulldogs duo, Harvey Gallagher and Lachie Bramble, have committed to staying at Whitten Oval beyond the 2024 season. Bramble, who joined the Bulldogs as a rookie at the start of the 2024 Pre-season Supplemental Selection Period, is a 26-year-old who came from Hawthorn, where he played 30 games since his AFL debut in 2021.

The defender made his debut for the Bulldogs in Round 1 this year and has played in every game since. Bramble has had an impressive start to the season, averaging 18 disposals and playing a key role in the Bulldogs’ backline.

Bramble has signed a one-year contract extension, keeping him with the Bulldogs until at least the end of 2025. Western Bulldogs’ General Manager of List and Recruiting, Sam Power, expressed the club’s satisfaction with both players’ contract extensions.

“Both Lachy and Harvey have played important roles within our side this season,” Power said.

“After suffering some injury setbacks in his first year, Harvey has shown positive signs as a midfielder, with his versatility being a highlight in his first 13 games.

“We’re excited to see Harvey continue to develop into a consistent AFL footballer in the coming years.

“Lachy has been a valuable addition to our backline, with his athleticism allowing him to compete against some of the best small forwards in the competition.”

The Western Bulldogs will host Fremantle this weekend at Marvel Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
