Torino Opens Talks for Orlando City Striker Duncan McGuire

Torino director Davide Vagnati is setting his sights on Major League Soccer (MLS) for goal-scoring talent, initiating discussions to acquire Orlando City striker Duncan McGuire, as detailed in recent reports.

Under the guidance of former coach Ivan Juric, Torino concluded their last season with a commendable ninth-place finish in Serie A, narrowly missing out on European competition. As the club embarks on a new project, preparations for the summer transfer window are well underway.

Revamping the attack is a priority for Torino, with only Duvan Zapata assured of his place in the squad. Pietro Pellegri is likely to be sold, and Antonio Sanabria’s performances have not met expectations, prompting Vagnati to seek reinforcements for the forward line.

According to Tuttosport, Vagnati has contacted the agents of Orlando City striker Duncan McGuire, initiating talks to explore a potential transfer. The 23-year-old American forward, whose contract with Orlando City expires in six months, is available for a transfer fee of around €4 million, making him a viable target for Torino.

This move reflects Torino’s strategic approach to strengthening their squad and enhancing their attacking options ahead of the new season.
