Baylor Scores Big: Chattanooga Transfer Colin Truett Flips from Kansas State to Join Bears Football

Baylor football continues to fortify its offensive line, securing former Chattanooga tackle Colin Truett, who switched his transfer commitment from Kansas State to Baylor on Thursday. Truett becomes the fifth three-star offensive line transfer addition under Coach Dave Aranda’s recruitment strategy since the end of the 2023 season. Alongside him are Montana State guard Omar Aigbedion, Ohio guard Kurt Danneker, South Carolina tackle Sidney Fugar, and Texas A&M tackle Colton Thomasson.

Standing at 6 feet 3 inches and weighing 300 pounds, Truett committed to Kansas State on June 8 but changed his allegiance just five days later. Starting his collegiate career at Cincinnati, Truett spent the past four seasons as a starter for Chattanooga. With one season of eligibility remaining as a graduate student, Truett brings with him a decorated resume, having been named a Freshman All-American and a two-time all-conference selection.

Primarily playing at right tackle during his tenure with the Mocs, Truett also has experience in the interior offensive line. His athleticism and agility provide Baylor with additional options as they aim to enhance their offensive line, which struggled in the Big 12 in 2023.
