Following an official visit to Manhattan, standout edge rusher Dalton Knapp has committed to playing his collegiate football with the Kansas State Wildcats. The Fort Worth, Texas native announced his decision on Thursday, solidifying his future with the Wildcats.
Knapp, a highly-touted Top 100 player at his position in the 2025 recruiting cycle, brings an impressive blend of speed and agility to the table. Standing at 6 feet 4 inches and weighing 225 pounds, Knapp showcased his athletic prowess with a remarkable 7.33 three-cone “L-Drill” at the Under Armour Next Camp in Dallas this March, ranking among the best nationally for participating linemen.
Heavily pursued by Boise State and Kansas, Knapp canceled his remaining June visits after an ideal weekend at Kansas State.
“The experience was great,” Knapp told GPC upon his return home. “K-State set the bar high for me, that’s for sure.”

Knapp’s visit also highlighted his fit within the Wildcats’ defensive scheme under coaches Buddy Wyatt and Joe Klanderman.
“They started running the defense a little different during spring camp by using guys like me who can rush the passer and play in coverage a little bit,” said Knapp. “They see me playing the ‘Buck’ position and I fit really well into that scheme.”
Knapp follows in the footsteps of past All Saints’ prospects, including his current assistant coach Kendall Adams, who chose K-State before returning to his alma mater after a stint on the Jackson State University staff. Knapp becomes the sixth commitment of the Wildcats’ 2025 class and the third from last weekend’s visitors, joining Martel Jackson and Adonis Moise.
Pending the composite score for Jackson, rated as an 86 recruit according to Top247, Knapp’s commitment is expected to elevate Kansas State to 13th in the Big 12 rankings, keeping the Wildcats in the top half of the league in average commitment rating.
