The Oklahoma State Cowboys held their highly anticipated annual passing camp, “The Show,” on Wednesday, showcasing some of the top young quarterback talents from across the region. Among the standout performers were Class of 2027 quarterbacks Malachi Zeigler and Zephyr Kreye, both of whom made such a significant impression that they left Stillwater with coveted offers from Oklahoma State.

The announcement of these offers marks a significant moment for the young athletes, who have just completed their freshman year of high school. According to 247Sports, Zeigler and Kreye are only the third and fourth quarterbacks in their class to receive offers from OSU, joining Weston Nielsen from Bastrop, Texas, and Colton Nussmeier from Flower Mound, Texas. These offers are among the first that OSU has extended to the 2027 class, underscoring the talent and potential seen in these young passers.

Malachi Zeigler

Malachi Zeigler, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback from Benton, Louisiana, has quickly become a name to watch in the recruiting world. While the 2027 rankings have yet to be established on major recruiting services, Zeigler’s performance on the field has already garnered significant attention. In addition to his new offer from Oklahoma State, Zeigler holds offers from prominent programs such as Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and SMU, among others. His burgeoning recruitment reflects his impressive skills and potential as a future star.

Zephyr Kreye

Joining Zeigler in receiving an offer from Oklahoma State is Zephyr Kreye, who hails from Denton Guyer High School, the alma mater of former OSU quarterback J.W. Walsh. Like Zeigler, Kreye stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 190 pounds. Despite limited varsity action as a freshman—recording 52 passing yards on nine attempts and rushing for 15 yards on four attempts—Kreye has already attracted attention from several Power Five programs. In addition to OSU, he holds offers from TCU, Houston, Texas Tech, and others, indicating a promising future ahead.

A Bright Future

The early offers to Zeigler and Kreye highlight Oklahoma State’s commitment to identifying and nurturing young talent. As the Cowboys continue to build for the future, securing commitments from highly regarded prospects in the 2027 class will be crucial. The performances of Zeigler and Kreye at “The Show” passing camp have set the stage for an exciting recruitment journey, and both quarterbacks will be closely watched as they develop over the coming years.

With their impressive skills and early recruitment success, Malachi Zeigler and Zephyr Kreye are poised to become significant names in college football. As they continue to hone their talents and gain experience, the anticipation surrounding their potential contributions to Oklahoma State—or wherever their paths may lead—will only grow. For now, Cowboys fans can look forward to the future with excitement, knowing that the next generation of quarterback talent is already making waves.
