Julen Lopetegui Secures £21 Million Striker as West Ham’s Second Summer Signing

Earlier claims suggested that West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui initially moved to sign right winger Luis Guilherme, an 18-year-old from Brazil. However, Lopetegui now needs to bring more proven quality to the London Stadium.

Youssef En-Nesyri has been a significant target for the Hammers this summer, with Sevilla eager to sell him before the end of the month to avoid financial sanctions. The Sevilla striker has been linked with West Ham during nearly every transfer window over the past three years.

En-Nesyri, who played under Lopetegui during his time managing the La Liga team, is well-known to the West Ham manager. The striker has scored 73 goals in 196 appearances for Sevilla, averaging better than a goal every three games.

Lopetegui now needs to prioritize securing En-Nesyri to complete his attacking lineup for next season.
