Arizona State Adds Local Standout Uriah Neloms to 2025 Recruiting Class

The Arizona State Sun Devil football team continues to build a formidable 2025 recruiting class, securing their 18th commitment from Uriah Neloms, a standout wide receiver from San Tan Charter High School in Gilbert, Arizona.

Standing at an impressive 6-foot-4 and weighing 196 pounds, Neloms has made a significant impact on the field. In his most recent season, he tallied 53 catches for 1,118 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping San Tan Charter achieve a 10-win season and a berth in the 2A semifinals.

Neloms’ recruitment process with ASU moved swiftly. Just two days after showcasing his skills at a 7-on-7 camp at the university, he received an offer from the Sun Devils. This quick turnaround highlights his potential and the immediate impression he made on ASU’s coaching staff.

Ranked as the No. 16 player in Arizona and the No. 205 wide receiver nationally by 247Sports, Neloms had garnered attention from several other programs, including Arizona, Air Force, Army, Northern Arizona, and San Diego State. However, the allure of staying close to home and joining a rising ASU program proved too strong to resist.

Neloms joins Hamilton High School cornerback Dajon Hinton, ranked No. 6 in Arizona, as the local players committed to ASU in this recruiting class. Their commitments bolster a class that is now ranked No. 18 nationally and No. 2 in the Big 12, trailing only TCU, according to the 247 Sports composite rankings.

Under the leadership of Coach Kenny Dillingham and his staff, the Sun Devils are assembling a diverse and talented group of recruits, aiming to elevate the program’s competitiveness in the coming years. The addition of Neloms is a testament to their effective recruiting strategy and their ability to attract top local talent.

As the 2025 class shapes up, the excitement and expectations surrounding ASU football continue to grow. With promising recruits like Neloms, the Sun Devils are poised to make significant strides on the national stage.
