Auburn Tigers Land Commitment from Bryce Deas; 4-Star RB Finds Perfect Fit on the Plains
Influenced by the positive experience of teammate Blake Woodby during his official visit, 4-star linebacker Bryce Deas traveled to Auburn football last weekend for a private workout and camp. After spending two days immersed in the Auburn environment, Deas received an offer from the Tigers and committed on Tuesday.
During his private workout, Deas collaborated closely with defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, whose coaching style and attention to detail solidified Deas’ swift decision.
“The coaches are genuinely invested in player development,” Deas remarked, according to Auburn Undercover. “They provide specific feedback on every aspect, pinpointing areas for improvement. Their approach to coaching aligns perfectly with my goals.
Ranked as the #16 recruit in Maryland and the #66 linebacker in the 2025 class, Deas is being recruited to Auburn as a versatile defensive asset capable of playing multiple positions.
In a parallel development, 4-star running back Shekai Mills-Knight also visited Auburn over the weekend, where he has become a key target for the program and running backs coach Derrick Nix. Mills-Knight has formed a strong rapport with head coach Hugh Freeze, who sees him as an ideal fit for Auburn’s football culture.
“Coach Freeze is genuine and straightforward,” Mills-Knight shared, per Auburn Rivals. “He expressed a genuine need for me on the team and appreciates my character, believing I embody the values of Auburn’s culture.”
Ranked as the #33 running back in the 2025 class, Mills-Knight has visited several top programs and plans to make decisions following upcoming visits to Ole Miss and Tennessee, aiming to finalize his choice before his senior year begins.
