Air Force quarterback sets record with touchdown pass; Falcons stay undefeated
The Air Force Falcons are having a perfect season, and their recent win over the Navy Midshipmen will be remembered for quite some time.
In the second quarter, Air Force wide receiver Dane Kinamon caught a pass from quarterback Zac Larrier and sprinted into the end zone.
The play covered 94 yards, marking the longest passing play in Air Force football history. Air Force typically relies heavily on its running game and entered the game with one of the lowest passing yardage averages per game. Navy’s offense also features the triple option, which limits passing opportunities.
The impressive scoring play also set the record for the longest scrimmage play ever at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

Entering the game, Larrier had completed 20 passes for 468 yards and four touchdowns on the season, making Saturday’s feat even more surprising.
The touchdown gave the No. 22 Falcons a 7-0 lead in the second quarter, and they extended that lead to 10-0 in the third quarter, eventually winning 17-6.
The win improved the Falcons’ record to 7-0. Air Force finished the game with more passing yards (151) than rushing yards (137), while Navy struggled offensively, producing only 124 total yards.
